About the job
- Own Gilion’s UK go-to-market end to end - from top-funnel strategy to signed deals and revenue.
- Map the market, define ICPs, work with AI-led outbound engine; run tight feedback loops to learn, iterate, and scale what works.
- Lead the full sales cycle: first meetings with founders, qualification, structuring and pricing, through to negotiation and close.
- Partner with Marketing to drive growth driven digital outbound marketing, events, conferences, PR, and ecosystem plays; build pipeline through VCs, angels, partners, and your network.
- Partner with Gilions Engineering organisation to help them build the tools for you to create a truly AI driven Go To Market machine. Gilion has built a proprietary platform called “Growth engine” leveraging data and AI to help our GoToMarket teams be more extremely effective
- Stay close to the portfolio - upsell existing customers (each Gilion customer on average grows with 50-80% within 12 months) understand performance, support founders, and spot expansion opportunities to grow UK revenue.
- Be Gilion’s face in the UK: nurture relationships across the startup, VC, and fintech communities.
About you
- Hungry, ambitious, and scrappy - you take ownership and get things done in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- 3-10+ years total experience, with experience across venture/growth lending, VC, fintech credit, or B2B SaaS sales (credit underwriting exposure is a plus).
- Full-cycle operator: comfortable prospecting, qualifying, structuring, and closing founder-led deals.
- Passionate about leveraging AI in your work
- Strong communicator who can build trust with founders and investors; confident networker at events and within the UK SaaS/VC ecosystem.
- Fintech/AI/startup-curious with an entrepreneurial mindset; sleeves-rolled, mid-level “unicorn potential” talent.
Nice to have: a live network of early-stage B2B SaaS companies (from operating, credit or VC) and a grounding in finance/economics - the lending playbook can be learned here.
